It’s a summer day, you went for a quick bike ride that’s supposed to be an hour long and now you’re stuck on the side of the road with a flat tire. A thunderstorm is rolling in on you and your phone is out of service. Luckily you came across a blog post about what to take on every bike ride recently and now you are equipped to handle the situation like a champ and can be home safely and in time.
In the past I tried bicycle commuting a few times, but never sticked to it. The main reason fot this has always been the hills on my way to work and back home. Although I enjoy commuting by bike, it takes longer and i am sweaty arriving at work. My girlfriend offered me to try out her e-bike for commuting. So I took the chance and was blown away at how comfortable it was getting around town. Fitness was never a problem, but having the assist on the climbs was great. I was able to get to Work faster without sweating. So I decided to build my own e-bike.
